Introduction
I am Coach Silver Aguirre this is my 16th year at McNeil HS, and 5th as the Head Baseball Coach.
The Baseball program has 3 assistant coaches:
- Coach Brad Croak – Varsity 1st assistant
- Coach Justin Ward – JV Green Head Coach
- Coach Daniel Montgomery – JV Blue Head Coach
Important Information
Players must have all their RankOne forms turned in and have current physical on file with our Athletic Trainers in order to participate in the tryout.
roundrockisd.rankonesport.com
You must fill out the online information through RankOne.
There are about 4 to 5 pages you & your parents must fill out online.
You must get a physical from the doctor.
You can find the paperwork for the physical on the RankOne website, get a form from the training room, or stop by my room in C-133
Somethings to help you
- You will need a physical on file with the trainer before you can try out. Please submit these to Coach Aguirre for processing.
- Do not wait until the day prior to the tryout to begin preparing.
- If you are a pitcher, it will not be a good idea for you to play/practice with your “select” team and throw 100 pitches in a game/bullpen/practice the day before the tryout. Your arm will be sore, and this will not help your chances of making one of our teams.
- Eat a good breakfast and/or lunch on these days. You will be at the ballpark a long time.
- Communicate with your parents regarding the days you will be trying out. Let them know the time when you will be finished. Off the field by 7:00.
- You will need to bring your own bat, glove, cleats, catching gear, etc. Wear a cap. If you don’t have these items, I wouldn’t go out and purchase them just for the tryout.
